Sign a PDF: draw, type or upload your signature

Add your signature to contracts, forms and invoices without printing them. Draw it with a mouse or touchpad, type your name in a handwriting font, or upload a photo or scan of your signature: the white paper around it is removed, so only the ink lands on the page.

Place the signature anywhere, resize it and add a date or initials as text. Your last signature is remembered on your device for next time.

How to use it

  1. Drop the PDF you need to sign; the signature dialog opens with the document.
  2. Draw, type or upload your signature, then click on the page to place it.
  3. Move and resize it, then download the signed PDF.

Questions

Is this a legally binding electronic signature?

It is a visual signature: an image of your handwriting on the page, like signing a printout. It is not a qualified electronic signature based on a certificate. Many everyday documents accept it; for those that require a qualified signature, use a certified service.

Can I use a scan of my signature?

Yes. Upload a photo or scan; the white background is removed so the signature sits cleanly on the document.

Where is my signature stored?

Only in your browser on this device, so you can reuse it. It is never sent anywhere.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Sign PDF runs in your browser on your own device, so your files never leave it. It is free, with no account, no limits and no watermark, and the code is open source (AGPL-3.0).
