Edit PDF: add text, white-out, highlights and images

Open a PDF and write on it: add text in 21 embedded fonts, cover content with white-out, highlight, draw boxes and insert images, stamps or a logo (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG). You can also reorder, rotate, duplicate and delete pages, with undo and redo.

Existing text cannot be retyped in place. To change it, cover it with white-out and type the new text on top. Arimo, Tinos and Cousine have the same widths as Arial, Times and Courier, so additions blend in with most invoices and forms.

How to use it

  1. Drop one or more PDFs (several files are merged into one document).
  2. Pick a tool in the sidebar (Text, White-out, Highlight, Box, Image) and click or drag on the page.
  3. Download: you get a new PDF with the original content untouched and your edits drawn on top.

Questions

Can I change the existing text in a PDF?

Not directly. Cover the old text with white-out and type the replacement over it. Pick a font with matching metrics (Arimo for Arial, Tinos for Times) so it looks the same.

Is my work saved?

Yes. Documents are autosaved in your browser (IndexedDB) and appear under Recent documents on the dashboard. Nothing is stored on a server.

Does it support Polish characters?

Yes. All 21 fonts include Polish characters and are embedded in the output as subsets, so the PDF looks the same everywhere.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Edit PDF runs in your browser on your own device, so your files never leave it. It is free, with no account, no limits and no watermark, and the code is open source (AGPL-3.0).
